This time we’ll watch Patch Adams (1998), directed by Tom Shadyac and starring Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Hunter “Patch” Adams, an unconventional medical student, decides to challenge the cold, clinical norms of the medical establishment. During his studies, he discovers that humor, compassion, and deep human connection are just as vital to healing as science. He bends the rules, risks his academic future, and brings joy to patients the system has written off as just another chart.
