Ecumenical Vespers

Join Christians from many traditions for a beautiful prayer service on Saturday 24 January at 4.00 pm at the Lutheran Cathedral of Vor Frue Kirke.
In recent years, CAYAC has organised prayer gatherings with other Christian communities during the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (18–25 January). This year, the occasion will be especially significant, as a major celebration will mark the first arrival of the missionary Saint Ansgar in Denmark in 826. We will therefore take part in this historic event.
To commemorate the 1,200th anniversary, the Pope has sent his Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who will deliver a speech in English during the ceremony.
