Movie night – The Graduate

Join us for another CAYAC Movie Night on Saturday 29 August!

This time we’ll watch the iconic 1967 film The Graduate, starring Dustin Hoffman, Anne Bancroft and Katharine Ross.

Benjamin Braddock has just graduated from college, but instead of knowing what to do with his life, he finds himself drifting into an unexpected and complicated relationship with the seductive Mrs. Robinson. Funny, awkward and at times surprisingly melancholic, The Graduate is a classic story about growing up, expectations and trying to figure out what you actually want from life.

And then there’s the music…
The film features an unforgettable soundtrack by Simon & Garfunkel, including The Sound of Silence, Scarborough Fair, and, of course, Mrs. Robinson. Their music is woven so beautifully into the film that it almost becomes another character in the story.

So come for dinner, stay for the movie — and perhaps leave wondering what exactly you’re supposed to do with your life after graduation.
