SUMMARY:Movie Night – The Apostle
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday 23 May we invite you for another CAYAC movie night. You can come and share dinner from 18:30. Bring a bit of food to share – but do not bring too much. You can also just arrive for the film. It begins at 20:00. \nThis time we will watch The Apostle by Robert Duvall. \nOn 15 February we lost Robert Duvall – one of the great actors of American cinema. During his long career he gave unforgettable performances in films such as The Godfather\, Apocalypse Now and Tender Mercies\, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor. \nThe Apostle never became one of his most famous films\, but many consider it among his very best works. Duvall not only plays the leading role – he also wrote\, produced and directed the film himself. \nThe film follows a passionate but deeply flawed Pentecostal preacher travelling through the American South\, wrestling with guilt\, faith\, pride and grace. It is a powerful and surprisingly honest portrait of religion\, brokenness and the longing for redemption. \nThe film is also on Fr. Daniel’s personal top 10 list of greatest films. \nEveryone is welcome. Access through Englesalen.

Our route takes us through Dyrehaven\, Jægersborg Hegn\, Nærum\, Søllerød and Rude Skov. We will pray four rosaries\, walk a bit in silence\, but also have the chance to talk and to enjoy the nature surrounding us. \nAfter the mass there will be a picnic in the park of Aasebakken. \nThere will still be a regular CAYAC Sunday mass at 6 PM. \nNB: It all depends on the weather. So join the ExREx group in the CAYAC WhatsApp community\, and look for updates there.

SUMMARY:Movie night - The Graduate
DESCRIPTION:Join us for another CAYAC Movie Night on Saturday 29 August! \n🍝 Dinner: From 18:30 (bring a bit of food to share)\n🎬 Movie: 20:00 (you are welcome to join only for the movie) \nThis time we’ll watch the iconic 1967 film The Graduate\, starring Dustin Hoffman\, Anne Bancroft and Katharine Ross. \nBenjamin Braddock has just graduated from college\, but instead of knowing what to do with his life\, he finds himself drifting into an unexpected and complicated relationship with the seductive Mrs. Robinson. Funny\, awkward and at times surprisingly melancholic\, The Graduate is a classic story about growing up\, expectations and trying to figure out what you actually want from life. \nAnd then there’s the music…\nThe film features an unforgettable soundtrack by Simon & Garfunkel\, including The Sound of Silence\, Scarborough Fair\, and\, of course\, Mrs. Robinson. Their music is woven so beautifully into the film that it almost becomes another character in the story. \nSo come for dinner\, stay for the movie — and perhaps leave wondering what exactly you’re supposed to do with your life after graduation. \nEveryone is welcome! SUMMARY:Silent Retreat in Åsebakken
DESCRIPTION:“Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us on the way…?” Luke 24\,32 \nThe purpose of these Ignatian weekend retreats is to explore how our God-given human faculties—imagination\, senses\, and intellect — can serve us as sacred pathways to connect with the divine. The central theme emphasizes recognizing God’s faithful and powerful presence both within us and woven throughout our ordinary\, everyday experiences. \nThe retreat will be led by Fr. Premo and is rooted in the spirituality of Saint Ignatius of Loyola\, particularly his method of Imaginative contemplation. \n  \nhttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe6QjgtuWWNvwASedXGQbgH5dJdg1Rzc3511oUWSd-yv0HssA/viewform?usp=send_form \n
