About CAYAC Community

Who are we?

Catholic Association of Young Adults in Copenhagen (CAYAC) gathers young people who have come to Denmark to study, work, or maybe just get a bit of famous danish “hygge” 😉 although having different goals and things to do, we all wish to stay close to God and develop spiritual life – also, to get some catholic buddies here! Click here and meet CAYAC coordinators!

What do we do?

First of all, we celebrate the Holy Mass every Sunday at 6PM (18:00) in Saint Augustine’s Church. Occasionally, we have a delicious warm dinner and a special guest talk after the Sunday Mass, roughly once per month. We also have a thematic faith formation study circles that run for several meetings. From time to time, we organise an adventurous trip and explore Denmark or other Scandinavian countries. In addition, we try to reach people in need that live around us and help them. More details here.

Where do we meet?

Our “headquarters” is Saint Augustin’s Church (Sankt Augustins Kirke) in Jagtvej 183D. See the exact location here.

Why it is good to join us?

  • A young guy arriving to DK may feel a bit lonely and lost, so we offer a possibility of spending time within folks that trust one another and can freely talk about all topics, including faith. We believe that CAYAC can help you grow as a Catholic, or find Jesus in your life, if you are still looking.
  • CAYAC members are both undergratuate, MSc, PhD, Exchange students and working adults – everyone can find a peer!
  • We are all young and open for you and your ideas – we are curious about your culture, opinions and simply, yourself!
  • No money, obligations or special demands required – you are wholeheartedly welcome to our meetings and you decide what do you want to do with us 😉
